New Orleans duck hunting
Duck hunting charters in New Orleans marshes are a great way to spend a day. Grab your hunting gear and get ready for an unforgettable experience
Ellender Charters offers duck hunting in the beautiful marshes of Terrebonne Parish. Terrebonne Parish's waters are fed from the Atchafalaya River. This abundance of fresh water makes Terrebonne Parish's marshes thrive with vegetation, as well as wildlife.
Duck hunting is a big part of our region and a big reason why South Louisiana is considered a sportsman paradise. For this reason and my love for duck hunting, Ellender Charters now offers guided duck hunts. Some of the common ducks are blue-winged teal, gadwall (grey ducks), ringnecks, and mottled ducks. Some of the other ducks we take are redheads, scaup, canvasbacks, mallards, and widgeon. A coot is another waterfowl that are fun to shoot and good to eat.
The 2015-2016 Duck and Coot season for Terrebonne Parish is from Nov. 7 - Dec. 6 and Dec. 19 - Jan. 17.
